Changing Person Status
The person status determines the state of the Person record. By default, Training Management provides three primary statuses (Active, Inactive and Terminated). However, an organization can configure their own statuses as well. Typically, changing a person's status from Inactive to Active (or Active to Inactive) is used to control when the training requirements are active or inactive.
NOTE: If a Person record is set to Terminated, the record is eliminated from all views within SmartSolve (with the exception of the Audit Trail). If person's status is set to Inactive, all certification information and ad hoc roles are maintained in the Person record.
- From the Person record, click Action > Change Status.
- Click the drop down arrow in the Person Status field and select the new status.
- If the status is set to Inactive or Terminated, certification tracking is suspended.
- If the status is set to Active, the Person record automatically inherits the Universal Requirements Role, the associated Position's Primary Role and any other Position Roles and Role Requirements.
- If the status is set to On Leave, all Person record information is maintained.
- Check the Activate Ad-hoc Position Role option only if you are activating the Person record and also want to activate all ad hoc roles attached to the position.
- Enter a comment.
- Enter your user ID and password.
- Click the Save button.
Result: The person's status has been changed.
